I’m not supposed to be here!
My daughter Shannon has been going to dance class pretty much ever since she learned how to walk. Over these last seven years
or so, my wife Cheryl and I ( mostly my wife ) have gotten friendly with some of the parents who bring their children to class each
week. Cheryl has gotten particularly close with one woman named Beverly.
A few Thursdays ago, Cheryl was pretty busy so I offered to take Shannon to dance class. When we arrived Shannon got changed
and skipped into her dance studio so I sat down and people watched for a few minutes. Within a short amount of time Bev arrived
and we got to talking about this and that. She told me that her grandmother’s house had sold… and that it had been on the market
for an extremely long time. Someone told her to bury a statue of St. Joseph in the front of the house. Well… you guessed it. She
put Saint Joseph to work and the house sold within two weeks. But that’s not the cool part of this story.
Bev told me that there was a statue of the Blessed Mother at her grandmother’s old place, and that she couldn’t take it and display it
on her property because she lives in one of those communities. We’ll pray for the pagan board members, but anyway... She asked
me if I would like the statue. I was honored and said yes without any hesitation! I wasn’t sure what kind of shape she was in but I
figured I’d fix her up and was deciding between two locations at my house where I would display her.
The Wednesday night prior to the Thursday when I was going to pick up the statue I hosted the weekly Men’s Prayer Group at my
house. Half way through the night one of my buddies, Ray, from way out of the blue, says to a few of us:
“I’m waiting for a statue for my house… I don’t know where it’s going to come from but I’m just waiting for it”.
He had a confident grin on his face (as if he had some inside information). We weren’t talking about statues and no-one knew about
“my” statue yet. Like I said… his comment was way out of the blue.
I looked at the ground in disbelief and muttered “ I know where it’s coming from Ray… I’m picking it up tomorrow!” I then told him
the story of the statue and we were all amazed at how mysteriously the Lord works. I could have ignored that feeling inside that let
me know, without a doubt, the statue of the Virgin Mary was to go to Ray’s house, but it was clear to me that this was the case.
If I had said nothing and set her up in my prayer garden out back. I joked about it saying that if I had kept her at my place she would
have reminded me every time I walked by her… “I’m not supposed to be here!”
One other interesting thing in connection with Bev… one day when in her kitchen doing dishes the Lord was really pulling out all of
the stops to get her attention...
She always kept a plastic cup on the edge of the sink with a Brillo pad in it. One morning when she pulled out the Brillo Pad the
image of Jesus ( you decide) with a halo and everything greeted her at the bottom of the cup! See for yourself.
I call it “Cup-O-Christ”, which has offended some folks but I don't think He minds one bit! As a matter of fact... I wouldn't be
surprised if some day I'll be uploading " Mug-O-Mary" on this site!
Peace,
Chris <><
I was working on a bathroom remodel on Cape Cod and on Tuesday, April 3rd of Holy Week, I was framing in a shower
stall. I was in the garage and was about to cut another stud (at 85 3/4" if I remember correctly) when I saw what
appeared to be the likeness of the Blessed Mother slide by my hands. It was a close call! At first I was a little bummed
out that the lumber company had stamped their logo smack dab on top of the image... until I realized that the ink from
the stamp was what gave Mary her facial features. As I looked at it a few days later I realized that she looks like she's
holding a lamb in her arms. I also noticed the three letters MLB...maybe it's BLM for Blessed Mother... I just saw that
this occurred exactly one month after Dan took that photo down the Cape... Hmmmm... I wonder what's going to
happen on May 3rd? I don't know what... but I think I know where! You can bet I'll be down in Cape Cod!
Here's Mary again, and I'm also shamelessly showing off my license plate !
Here's a photo I took when I was wrapping up a basement renovation at my dear friends Bob and Kathy Craig's home.
These folks are some good old fashioned on-fire Catholic Christians (yes, yes... there is such a thing) so I wasn't
surprised to get this blessing of a photo... & on Saint Patrick's day to boot!

Nuts About The Lord!
October 23, 2005
Another touch from Heaven today!
I prayed the Rosary at 6:30 am with some guys from our men's prayer group and then attended the 8:00 Mass at
Sacred Heart Church in Middleboro. Then on to the 9:30 Mass, where a friend John and I are dismissed with the
children in the RCIA program after the Homily to talk about today's gospel with them and teach them the catholic faith.
So far a wonderful and grace filled Sunday!
When my wife Cheryl and I got home we were talking about the different Catholic orders and Confraternities that
people got involved in. This topic was brought up because on the previous Thursday when the MPG (men's prayer
group) got together, my buddy Bob said he'd thought about joining a group with a devotion to The Blessed Mother.
A Marian Order made sense as we pray the "Sunday Sunrise Rosary" every Sunday morning at 7:00am with a few of
the guys from the MPG , as well as when we meet and daily on our own.
I said to my wife that I'd have to give a decision like that a lot of thought and prayer before joining an order for life. I
joked with her and said: " I'm kind of partial to Saint Francis of Assisi and patting squirrels and stuff".
Not five minutes later I went out on my porch and could hear the church bells up in the center of town ringing in the
12:00 noon hour. As I stood there admiring the sky I heard a sound behind me and looked down and to my left and
there sat a squirrel… not 3 feet away from me, looking right up at me… looking me square in the eye! I began talking
sweetly to him and asked him if he wanted a peanut. I went into the house and got two peanuts.
He was waiting for me when I returned. The first peanut I set down for him.
He strolled over and took the second one right out of my hand!
I don’t know how the squirrels in your neighborhood are, but this is very unusual for wild squirrels around here! I
didn't make a connection between this strange encounter & what I had just said to Cheryl until the squirrel had actually
taken the peanut from my hand.
The Lord had seen fit to reach down and touch me once again. His Love for me boggles my mind! He reveals himself in
small and large ways every day of my life. I wonder how many times he touches me & I don't even realize it?
How many times does he touch you and you don't even realize it?
I can say this: The more I pray to Jesus and ask the intercession of Our Blessed Mother, the more grace is poured into
my life. This is not theory. It is a fact in my life that I am sure of.
So if you'd like to maybe hand off a peanut to a squirrel in your neighborhood, just think of The Lord and His Mother
and pray often. Bring all your cares and concerns and thanks to Him. Ask Mary to help you to pray. She will lead you to
her Son. If you don't know how to pray… just ask and They'll help you.
Be blessed!

I took these photos of this amazing white rainbow which danced around the beach in Yarmouth, Cape Cod for a full hour
and a half! We'd never seen anything like it ! It kept moving and resting on different parts of the ocean and beach.

This moth was waiting on our porch one night when my wife, daughter and I returned from a trip.
It's like the white rainbow; we never saw one before. and haven't seen one since!

Seeing is Believing

Here's the e-mail exchange I had with my friend, Dan Yetman
Hi Dan,
With your permission, I'd like to put that photo and your witness up on my web-site. If this is o.k.
with you, please e-mail your witness & I'll upload it.
Peace!

Hi Chris,
Sure! I was up early praying the Rosary and noticed how the sun seemed to be bathing everything with a warm
glow, shimmering off the water and
warming everything it touched. I had just sent a note to a friend (Chris, who I feel this photo was meant for) about
how glorious the morning was and decided to take a picture with my phone and send it to him to show him.
I rolled down the window and took this picture!
Phone: TREO 700W
Place: Falmouth, MA
Sunday March 3rd 2007
Time: around 7:15AM
I have a Devotion to the Eucharist and try to attend Daily Mass.
Note: Dan's being a bit humble here - I'd have to say he tries harder than the average person to attend daily
Mass as he's the Sacristant / Altar server at daily Mass at the Holy Rosary in Taunton, MA!
If you're not familiar with the miracle of the sun phenomenon, click on this link to see a
video shot in Medjugorje last year:
Enjoy!
Turn your head to the right... see the Cup?
